Most cookie policies run for pages. Ours is short, because this site keeps almost nothing in your browser.
The single item we store
The first time you visit, a small notice asks for your cookie preference. When you answer, the site saves that answer in your browser's local storage, a small storage area every modern browser provides for individual websites. It is there for one reason: so the notice does not pop up again on every page you open.
That saved entry holds only your choice. It contains no name, no email address and no identifier that could link it to you, and it never leaves your device. We do not read it on our side, because there is nothing on our side to read it with.
What we do not use
- No analytics or visitor-measurement cookies.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social-media buttons that drop their own cookies.
- No login or session cookies, since the site has no accounts.
If we ever add something to this list, we will describe it on this page before it appears on the site.
Changing your mind
To answer the notice differently, remove the stored choice (steps below) and reload any page. The notice will show again and you can pick afresh. Nothing about the guides changes depending on your answer; every page reads the same either way.
Clearing it yourself
Every major browser lets you delete what a site has stored. The menu names vary a little, but the route is similar:
- Chrome and Edge: open Settings, go to the privacy section, choose site data or cookies, search for nextstopstl.org and delete its entry.
- Firefox: open Settings, select Privacy & Security, use Manage Data under cookies and site data, then remove the entry for this site.
- Safari: open Settings or Preferences, go to Privacy, select Manage Website Data, find this site and remove it.
Clearing all browsing data or using a private window has the same effect, though it will clear things for other sites too.
